Major: the renowned Darren Dreger just revealed a scoop about Cayden Primeau's departure from the Montreal Canadiens regarding if he is placed on waivers

Last night, during the intermission of the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, on TSN's broadcast, renowned insider Darren Dreger dropped a scoop about what's being said behind the scenes regarding Cayden Primeau.

Dreger mentioned this, concerning the departure of Cayden Primeau from the Montreal Canadiens, if he is placed on the NHL's waivers.

"Darren Dreger, on TSN's intermission show, discussing the Canadiens' goalie situation at camp, stated that 'what's being said in Montreal is that Cayden Primeau will be claimed off waivers' if he is placed there.

It's speculated that the Canadiens might keep three goalies to start the year. (Primeau, Allen, and Montembeault)"

Wow! According to the behind-the-scenes information, Primeau would therefore be claimed off the NHL's waivers (if Kent Hughes exposes him).

This greatly complicates the Canadiens' decision, who already rely on the services of Jake Allen and Samuel Montembeault.

In order to play with the Laval Rocket, the young goalie would therefore have to go through waivers. And according to Dreger, 'it's believed in Montreal that Primeau will be claimed if he is cut'.

Losing Primeau for nothing would be far from ideal.
