Journalists who devote their lives to covering the CH's activities.
Among them is Arpon Basu of The Athletic, who is normally very present on social networks and in the club's entourage. However, for the past few weeks, this has not been the case as Basu unfortunately had to take a few weeks off for personal reasons. He has returned home.
We later learned that the respected journalist recently lost his father, an obviously difficult ordeal to go through.
Yesterday, as reported by Luc Gélinas of RDS, Basu was back at his post-game press conference following the duel against the Panthers and Montreal Canadiens interim head coach Martin St-Louis, after the press briefing, made the detour and headed to the back of the press room, to offer his deepest condolences to The Athletic reporter Arpon Basu for the passing of his father.
What a nice gesture, bravo Martin! It may not seem like a big deal, but it's rare to see an NHL coach act like this and care like this about the good of the reporters sitting in front of him.
It's a class act! I'm convinced that it really made Arpon feel good.
Indeed, the principal was really touched.
