Many fans have noticed that during last night's game against the Calgary Flames, Habs head coach Martin St-Louis made a noticeable move by employing a very unique strategy in certain situations. (in fact, during at least two power plays)
It's very rare that we see that, but twice, he decided to send five forwards on the Power Play.
Especially at the end of the game, during a 5 v 3, St-Louis effectively sent on the ice : Nick Suzuki, Brendan Gallagher, Rem Pitlick, Mike Hoffman and Cole Caufield.
No defenseman on the ice.
We saw that at least twice yesterday, on two power plays. I believe the Florida Panthers did it two years ago as well, but otherwise it's a really unique strategy. It's good to see that St-Louis isn't afraid to try some more unusual strategies.
Do you like it?
Small note in closing to tip my hat to St-Louis and his men. What a game yesterday and what a show they give us!
A bit of a shame for the lottery, but wow! It's really beautiful to see.
