Do you know a guy named Dan Pietens, a 32-year-old Ontarian from London who draws NHL players and other athletes by hand with a lead pencil? Does the name PietensArt ring a bell?
"I like the nostalgia and relativity of the pencil. Everyone, at some point, has at least picked up a pencil and tried to draw something," Pietens.
In short, one of Pietens' masterpieces remains none other than Montreal Canadiens' number one center, Nick Suzuki. Suzuki asked Pietens if he could get the original drawing, and the hockey-loving artist readily agreed. The two men took a picture when Pietens delivered the gift to Suzuki, who is also from London.
In addition to Suzuki, Pietens has also drawn Bo Horvat, Patrick Kane, Patrick Roy, Carey Price, Steve Yzerman, Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews and more. His drawings are simply amazing.
