Not surprisingly, Phillip Danault is off to his best start since the 2017-18 campaign. Who thought a start like this would happen, when Danault had just one goal after the first six games of the schedule?
After a two-goal, one-assist performance Monday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Danault's tally shows eight points in 12 games, which would put him 2nd in scoring for the Canadiens.
That said, going back to Monday night's game, Danault put on a clinic of the definition of "relentless". In the footage, we see a somewhat limp Mitch Marner, who saw Danault succeed by WORKING.
In short, the Kings will come to the Bell Centre tonight (Tuesday) with tired legs, so the Habs will have to take advantage of this situation. However, the Kings are also coming in with a lot of adrenaline, which could result in them taking the game. Especially since the Canadiens are not very sharp!
