A change has been made by the Nashville Predators following their trade with the Montreal Canadiens, which notably involved Justin Barron.

It was Maxime Truman, via his Stanley25 podcast and an article on DansLesCoulisses, who highlighted this interesting change.

I want to clarify that I still believe the Canadiens won the Justin Barron/Alexandre Carrier trade, but it seems like it's less one-sided than we initially thought.

While Barron had a rough start in Nashville, he has recently been thriving.

A change made by the Predators involving Justin Barron

In recent games, Barron has been playing on Nashville's top defensive pair alongside none other than Roman Josi, and he has also been used on their first power play unit.

What a turn of events!

Carrier vs. Barron: Not as One-Sided as Initially Thought

Justin Barron is now effectively being used as Nashville's No. 2 defenseman behind Roman Josi, and he is playing much better.

His ice time keeps increasing, and he is now nearing the 20-minute mark per game.

We're happy for him!

Of course, I still firmly believe that Kent Hughes made the right call by trading him for Alexandre Carrier, but good for him (and good for the Preds) if things are turning around for him over there.

What about you, do you still believe JB can be a solid NHL defenseman?

The 23 years old, 6-foot-2, 198 pounds, Justin Barron has accumulated eight points in 39 games this season with the Nashville Predators and the Montreal Canadiens. (He had one point in 17 games with the Habs.)
