As trade speculation intensifies regarding forward Brock Boeser, as reported by PuckEmpire, reputable tipster Pierre LeBrun has just confirmed a huge rumor.

Brock Boeser will be traded.

"Brock Boeser will play for a new team by the trade deadline, and possibly Bo Horvat as well." - Pierre LeBrun

As for Horvat, let's wait and see, but in the case of Boeser, LeBrun couldn't be clearer.

So it seems to confirm the big rumor that has been circulating for a few days with the Vancouver Canucks.

Now that we know Boeser will be traded, there are three things left to know and we can't wait to get the answers.

1) Where will Boeser be traded?
2) When will Boeser be traded?
3) What will the Canucks receive in return?

This will be a really interesting file to watch, especially since Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens could be tempted.

"Now that he has requested a trade, should the Canadiens explore the possibility of trading for Brock Boeser?

It would take some salary cap gymnastics, but Boeser could have a positive impact on the Habs' rebuild." - Montreal Hockey Now

Recall that Vancouver would be willing to accept a lower return, in exchange for Boeser, because they really want to shuffle the shack as quickly as possible.

"It's not going to be an easy trade for the Canucks to make, there aren't a lot of teams that have the cap space, and the Canucks may have to understand that if they want to trade him, they're not going to get the best of returns, but I think they understand that and they're fine with it." - Elliotte Friedman

Boeser, 25, is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound winger who was drafted in the first round in 2015. He has one of the best shots in the entire NHL and his potential is huge.

We're talking about a player who produced at a rate of 40 goals per 82 games in his rookie season with the Canucks. He also produced at rates of 73 and 70 points in his first two seasons.

This seems like a great opportunity for a general manager to acquire a good player, at a low price, and make a good move.

Do you think Kent Hughes should try to acquire Boeser?
