In the win, both players were outstanding.
Xhekaj finished the game with one goal, a positive +1 rating, three shots on goal, one hit, and one blocked shot, in just under 15 minutes of ice time.
As for Laine, he scored another big goal, had three shots on goal, and delivered two hits in 13 minutes and 13 seconds of ice time.
The Canadiens are back in action today, live from the Bell Centre, this time against the same Detroit Red Wings.
