Surprise: Last-minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens

The Canadiens announced a wonderful surprise in the last few minutes, through an official statement.

The organization just announced that Pierre Turgeon, inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2023, will be honored before the Canadiens' game on November 14th. Wow!

He will join the hall of fame and will now have his place among the Canadiens legends in the team's Ring of Honor.

«MONTREAL � The day after his induction into hockey history, Pierre Turgeon will once again be honored, this time at home.

Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the 2023 class on June 21, Turgeon will join the hall of fame during the official ceremony, which will take place on November 13 in Toronto. Then, on November 14, he will take his place among the Canadiens legends in the team's Ring of Honor during an inauguration at the Bell Centre.»

Montreal Canadiens

Turgeon, the former first overall pick in the 1995 NHL draft, was the 25th captain of the team and scored 96 points in 80 games during his only full season with the Canadiens.

In total, he amassed 1,327 points in 19 NHL seasons.
