This Saturday, the Habs announced that Jeff Petry will be out indefinitely. The defenseman was injured in the last game and did not finish the game.
According to Marc Antoine Godin, Petry's name has not yet been placed on the injured list and the organization would not have the intention to add him soon. The defenseman could even join his family in the United States in the next few days. Maybe even by Monday.
We all know that Petry wanted to be traded, but that Kent Hughes could not accommodate him at the trade deadline. It will definitely happen this summer. The two sides would have, if true, found a way to limit the damage by giving a small gift to the veteran.
We do not doubt that Petry could be injured, he did not finish the last game, but the current situation seems rather strange...
