The Montreal Canadiens place a player on NHL waivers

We told you about it a little earlier today, the journalist Renaud Lavoie, of TVA Sports, announced it first and it is now confirmed.
The Canadians has made the decision to place forward Cédric Paquette on waivers. He wasn't at practice this morning and his time in Montreal seems to be over.
The 31 other NHL teams have until tomorrow, 2 p.m., to acquire him for free. If he is not claimed on waivers, he will probably head to Laval, to join the Rocket.
The 28-year-old forward has only two assists in 24 games since the start of the season. He also maintained a -6 rating.
