Just recently, it was the Carolina Hurricanes' turn and they seemed to confirm what we reported to you at the beginning of the summer.
Their plan is to give Jesperi Kotkaniemi, former third overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens, a lot of responsibility.
Scheduled lineup (According to NHL.com):
Max Pacioretty -- Sebastian Aho -- Seth Jarvis
Andrei Svechnikov -- Jesperi Kotkaniemi -- Teuvo Teravainen
Ondrej Kase -- Jordan Staal -- Jesper Fast
Jordan Martinook -- Lane Pederson -- Martin Necas

Kotkaniemi would really become the second center of a team that aspires to win the Stanley Cup, this is consistent with the statements of the Hurricanes' bosses (from the beginning of the summer). This would be great news for him!
Kotkaniemi, 22, had 29 points in 66 games last season, his first in Carolina (he had 2 points in 14 games of the 2022 series)
The Canes played big by signing him to an offer sheet, they played big by signing him to an 8-year, nearly $40 million pact, and they're obviously going to play big by giving him the important responsibility of being a second center on a team with big-time aspirations.
We can't wait to see the outcome of this. Do you think KK can handle this challenge? Do you think he will keep his job? Do you think the Hurricanes can win the Stanley Cup with KK as their second center?
