In the last few hours, it has been announced that three players have made the decision to leave the National Hockey League and sign contracts elsewhere.

According to journalist Brennan Klak's information, the following players are officially departing from the NHL:

-Defenseman Gabriel Carlsson

Carlsson, 26 years old, was the 29th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft (1st round). He stands at 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. In his career, he has played 81 NHL games, accumulating 18 points.

-Defenseman Patrik Nemeth

Nemeth, 31 years old, was the 41st overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft. He stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. In his career, he has played 504 NHL games, recording 240 penalty minutes and 70 points.

-Goaltender Dylan Ferguson

Ferguson, 24 years old, is a young goaltender who had an impressive performance last season in the NHL, albeit in only 2 games (2.52 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.940). In 8 games with the Belleville Senators in the AHL, he maintained a 2.30 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.926.

His departure is surprising considering he seemed to be on the right track and had solid potential.

Further details will follow.
