With the trade deadline that is fast approaching, the Habs has many depth players that may well help other teams. One of these is the Finnish winger Joel Armia. If many think that not playing up to expectations, some are not in agreement. According to what Darren Dreger announced this morning on the radio TSN, Kent Hughes would receive calls to the number 40.
If this is indeed the case, Hughes must not lose the opportunity to trade that bad contract. Armia currently receives a salary of $ 3.4 million per year, for three other seasons. If a team is ready to take that salary without asking anything in return, it would be a gift.
As noted in a recent column, Armia is one of the only players of the Habs not to have benefited from the Martin St. Louis effect. After showing great things in the playoffs last year, the Finnish forward is not as good this year, he has only 7 points in 40 games.
