Today, we learned that two players who are now former members of the Montreal Canadiens have decided to abruptly leave the National Hockey League.

The first is Laurent Dauphin.

The player who was acquired in January 2020 in exchange for Michael McCarron has decided to continue his career in Europe.

He is following in the footsteps of David Desharnais and has signed a one-year contract with HC Ambri-Piotta in Switzerland.

The second is goalie Zach Fucale.

He has indeed decided to sign a contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk in the KHL. It's surprising, considering he was knocking on the doors of the NHL last season and given the current context, but we sincerely wish him the best of luck in this new adventure.

Dauphin, 28 years old, has amassed a solid 41 points in 48 games this season in the AHL, with the farm club of the Arizona Coyotes.

Fucale, 28 years old, has played 38 games this season in the AHL for the farm team of the Washington Capitals, the Hershey Bears. (record of 21-11-4, average of 2.54 and an efficiency rate of .902)"
