Tonight, the Montreal Canadiens face the San Jose Sharks at 7:00 pm on RDS, and for the occasion, head coach Martin St-Louis has made two last minute changes.
After presenting a certain lineup yesterday, St-Louis came back with some changes today, and here is the final result.
Caufield-Suzuki-Dach
Dadonov-Dvorak-Gallagher
Armia-Monahan-Anderson
Pezzetta-Evans-Slafkovsky
Edmundson-Guhle
Matheson-Savard
Harris-Kovacevic
Two changes are indeed making fans talk about in particular.
First, Arber Xhekaj is out of the lineup in favor of the excellent Jordan Harris. "WiFi" will be in the stands tonight.
Second, Samuel Montembeault will leave the net to Jake Allen, who will be the starting goalie against the Sharks, despite his recent mixed performances.
Martin St-Louis made it clear this morning that Allen is and remains the Tricolore's number one goalie. Montembeault may have to wait a few games before getting another opportunity.
You will also notice that Mike Hoffman (lower body) is still not ready to come back and that Chris Wideman will skip his turn again.
