Two last-minute developments in front of Montreal's net and a new goaltender could come in as a backup
There have been several developments in the last few hours regarding the Montreal Canadiens' goaltending situation, especially since young Cayden Primeau returned to the mix.
Here are today's updates.
Cayden Primeau was present at the Canadiens' practice this morning, unlike veteran Jake Allen, who was absent once again.
This marks three consecutive days that Allen has been sidelined.
Samuel Montembeault was present, and it's already confirmed that he will be starting tomorrow night against the Washington Capitals.
The Montreal Canadiens have officially made a decision:
"Martin St-Louis confirms that Samuel Montembeault will start against the Capitals on Thursday." - Montreal Canadiens
This will be interesting to watch, especially since the Laval Rocket could really use Cayden Primeau's services the day after tomorrow.
Will Jakub Dobes replace him in Laval?
Will Primeau be sent back to Laval and Dobes brought up to Montreal if Allen isn't healthy by then?
