Earlier today, we watched Pierre-Luc Dubois' full media availability. He chatted (to reporters) and answered questions for almost an hour.
Of course, the Quebec forward was asked over and over again about the rumors sending him to the Montreal Canadiens:
However, at the end of the interview, we heard a rather interesting statement.
When asked why he doesn't want to sign for the long term, Dubois replied that things can change so quickly in an organization and he gave some very interesting examples:
"If you sign with a team because you like the head coach, he may very well be fired two months after you sign... If you sign because you like the guys in the room, they may as well be traded from one day to the next."
"You know, like David Savard, he's my brother. When I asked the Blue Jackets for a trade, I almost decided to stay there to stay with him... Well he got traded six months later." First, it's interesting to see his reasoning (and he's right), but also, it's interesting to see how close he is to David Savard who today, is a Montreal Canadiens player.
It obviously doesn't confirm that Dubois will come to Montreal, but it's a nice additional argument.
