Worrisome News From the Canadiens Organization: More Injury Updates Emerge and the Fate of Four Players is Confirmed
It's not just in Montreal that the organization is being hit very hard by injuries, again and again.
Things aren't going very well in Laval either.
The Rocket has just announced an update regarding the health status of four players.
"Forward Gabriel Bourque (lower body injury) is being evaluated on a weekly basis. He is practicing with the team.
Forward Mitchell Stephens (lower body injury) is being evaluated on a daily basis. He is practicing with the team.
Forward Emil Heineman (upper body injury) will be kept out of play indefinitely. He is practicing with the team.
Forward Philippe Maillet (upper body injury) will be kept out of play for a period of 1 to 2 weeks. He did not travel with the team to Rochester and Syracuse." - Laval Rocket And that's not even counting the long-term injuries, like Lias Andersson.
Let's focus on the case of Heineman, which is mysterious. It's rare to see this, but even though he's practicing with the team, he's still out for an indefinite duration.
This is probably because he suffered another concussion, a very serious issue.
They are doing extremely well to be patient, but it remains worrying, especially for such a talented young player.
Heineman also had another strong training camp with the Canadiens last September. Some experts even believed he could have started the season in Montreal, but to be able to help the CH one day, he must be healthy.
Let's hope young Heineman returns healthy. That's the most important thing.
"Emil Heineman does not seem ready to return to play in Laval. He only played 2 games due to a concussion and he is practicing with the team, but the Rocket continues to talk about an indefinite absence.
If he regains his health, I think we could see him in MTL during the season."

This is reminiscent of Filip Chytil, of the New York Rangers.
