« SIGNING | The Jonquière Marquis have announced the signings of Xavier Filion and Alex Rondeau for the upcoming season.
During the last LNAH draft, Xavier Filion was the Marquis' first-round pick, fifth overall, while Alex Rondeau was a second-round pick, 12th overall. »
- Ligue nord-américaine de hockey LNAH
Filion, who is only 21 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 173-pound forward.
He notably amassed 41 points in 48 games with the Rimouski Océanic in 2023 in the QMJHL, as well as 33 points in 66 games with the Quebec Remparts in 2022 (13 points in 21 playoff games).
We wish him the best of luck in Jonquière, even though we were curious to see him develop in the Montreal Canadiens organization over the next few years.
Clearly, he is highly anticipated in Jonquière.
