Absence of Kaiden Guhle: the Ducks may have just given us the answer on the possible length
The Anaheim Ducks organization may have ironically just given us the exact answer regarding the absence of defenseman Kaiden Guhle.
Exactly one week ago, the Montreal Canadiens announced that Guhle had undergone an appendectomy and would be out for a while.
How long exactly? We had no idea (the Canadiens didn't provide much information on this), especially since some sources indicated that he was actually at risk of missing the start of the season.
John Gibson's Timeline Gives Us the Answer for Kaiden Guhle
Ironically, a last-minute announcement from the Anaheim Ducks gives us valuable information regarding Guhle's absence.
The goaltender John Gibson underwent an emergency appendectomy last night. He is expected to be out for approximately 3 to 6 weeks.

Gibson underwent the exact same procedure as Guhle but a week later. Kudos to the Anaheim Ducks for providing a precise timeline.
Subtracting one week, we're looking at an absence of 2 to 5 weeks for defenseman Guhle.
The fact that he was already back on the ice this morning in Brossard, on his own, gives us hope of seeing Kaiden Guhle back in 2 to 3 weeks, rather than 4 to 5 weeks.
In any case, this seems to confirm that he will probably not play in any preseason games and will need some time to adjust at the start of the season.
Missing almost the entire training camp will certainly have an impact.
A situation to keep an eye on!
