On the airwaves of BPM Sports this morning, TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie spoke about Cole Caufield. And he had a lot to say.

He was particularly questioned about some rumors related to the nightlife of the number 22 forward of the Habs, and let's just say his message was very clear.

"I apologize for the term, and I will avoid swearing, but it's crap, it's ****ing crap."

"Cole Caufield, for me, is a young hockey player who behaves like a professional. I've never seen Cole Caufield and thought he had a rough night before."

"Even yesterday, Cole Caufield did not participate in the morning practice, but he was (as usual) on the side of the rink, with a smile, cheering on his teammates, attentive to what was happening on the ice and with an exemplary attitude."

"Come on! This witch hunt... Are you okay? Are you all right? The life of hockey players today, in 2024, is a lot more boring than it was 15-20 years ago." - Renaud Lavoie

He defended Cole Caufield very strongly and he makes some very good points.

And as we've always said, even if Cole goes out to bars in Montreal, what's the big deal! There's absolutely nothing wrong with that!

Caufield, the 15th overall pick in 2019 (first round) has 22 goals and 35 assists, for a total of 57 points in 75 games this season. He has improved so much as a hockey player, as Martin St-Louis often reminds us.

In his NHL career, we're talking about 75 goals, and 141 points, in 198 games.
