Another top Habs prospect could turn his back on Hughes and the Canadiens
Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens might receive some very bad news.
While the news is excellent regarding young Ivan Demidov and his upcoming arrival in Montreal, another Canadiens prospect might turn his back on the organization.
Bogda Konyushkov, who also plays in the KHL, could indeed be much more difficult to bring over.
This would really be a shame for the Habs because he is very talented.
Demidov just needs to play out the season.»

Yes, it is really unique to see that he has already been named captain. It is practically unheard of in the KHL.
Bogdan Konyushkov in the KHL for good?
Quite honestly, if Konyushkov were to sign another contract there (and his team will do everything to make him sign again), it would actually be practically over for him with the Montreal Canadiens.
He is obviously far from Demidov's level, and the latter is the ultimate priority, but Konyushkov would still be a very interesting addition for the Montreal Canadiens.
The Habs' management drafted quite a player with the 110th overall pick in 2023, but now they must convince him to come to North America one day.
Bogdan Konyushkov, who is only 21 years old, is a right-handed defenseman standing 5 feet 11 inches and weighing 176 pounds.
He is indeed a 110th overall pick by the Habs in 2023 (4th round) and he recorded a very solid 28 points in 65 games in the KHL last season.
Seeing such a young defenseman having such a big role in the KHL is extremely rare.
He is a name to watch in the coming years.
