As part of a very interesting interview, Montreal Canadiens forward Michael Pezzetta shared something significant about Cole Caufield.

We knew that Caufield is very generous and doesn't seem to be "all about the money," but Pezzetta has once again proven it.

While on the Cam and Strick podcast, the Canadiens' number 55 confessed that he has never seen anyone "put as much money on the board" as Caufield.

Cole Caufield spends without counting for his team and his teammates

Obviously, Cole is not afraid to open his wallet to motivate his troops.

"For those who don't know, 'putting money on the board' in hockey is when a player writes a certain amount of money next to his name before an important game. If his team wins, the player gives that amount of money to the team's fund, which is used to organize activities or parties."

We love it! Pezzetta adds that Caufield and Nick Suzuki are extremely generous with their teammates and are not afraid to spoil their comrades (and treat them).

This confirms what we thought about the two young Canadiens forwards.

It's really interesting!

Michael Pezzetta, 26 years old, has accumulated 38 points in 175 career games with the Montreal Canadiens, along with 217 penalty minutes.

He is under contract until July 2025, earning $812,500 per year.

It will be interesting to see what role he will have next season in Martin St-Louis' lineup, especially with the arrival of new young forwards.
