BREAKING: Arber Xhekaj sends a strong message to St-Louis and Martin has just confirmed that he remains in the lineup

Once again today, the name of Arber Xhekaj came up extensively during the press conference of head coach Martin St-Louis, who acknowledged that his young defenseman played a solid game last night.

"It's certain that yesterday his good touches were more evident, but it's been a few games now that we've seen him play better."

As my colleagues from Marqueur reported this morning, clearly, Xhekaj sent a strong message to Martin St-Louis against the Sabres. (with his performances)

Number 76 was solid both offensively and defensively, and physically, and he indeed sent a big message to St-Louis, who can no longer remove him from the lineup.

"Clearly, Wifi wants to stay in the lineup and he is doing everything in his power to keep his place in the Montreal formation!

Just like last Saturday, he shone on the offensive side by scoring with a cannonball shot from the blue line to give the Tricolore a 1-0 lead. He also generated several good scoring opportunities, finishing the game with four shots on goal."

We had reason to believe that the initial plan was possibly to bring Kovacevic back into the lineup tonight (and take out Arber Xhekaj), but the Sheriff simply did not give his bosses a choice.

St-Louis confirms that Xhekaj remains in the lineup tonight

Martin has indeed just announced the news and confirmed everything for Xhekaj.

"Xhekaj will play tonight!"

"Cayden Primeau will face the Penguins tonight
