The Montreal Canadiens have just announced bad news involving forward Juraj Slafkovsky.

The young Slovakian will miss at least one week of action and will be re-evaluated afterward.

An injury confirmed for Juraj Slafkovsky

It could be longer than a week, but we'll have to wait and see. One thing is certain: he'll be out for a while.

It has been confirmed that Kirby Dach will replace him on the Habs' first line, alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.

This will be a great opportunity for Dach to bounce back, as he's had a challenging start to the season with just 1 point in 6 games so far.

Another young forward will also have a great opportunity, with Oliver Kapanen becoming Martin St-Louis' new second-line center. We love it.

We should also expect a call-up from Laval Rocket, so we imagine Alex Barré-Boulet and Joshua Roy will be keeping an eye on their phones over the next few hours.

Additionally, the Canadiens have announced that Michael Pezzetta will play his first game of the season tonight against the New York Rangers.

We can expect to see a very engaged Pezzetta tonight, as he won't want to give Martin St-Louis any reason to send him back to the stands too quickly.

And if it were your decision, what would you do? Would you call up Barré-Boulet or Roy? Would you give Pezzetta more playing time?

MSL's upcoming decisions will be very interesting.

More details to follow.
