Canadiens' major announcement and press conference: Details are announced
Yesterday, the Montreal Canadiens organization informed the media that Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes would be holding important press conferences.
Many of you asked us for details, especially the time of this important meeting, but we did not have the answer.
Jeff Gorton will address the fans and journalists at 5:30 PM!
It is finally at 5:30 PM today that the Vice President of Hockey Operations of the Montreal Canadiens will be holding a press conference, so in the immediate future. (Kent Hughes will speak tomorrow evening, for his part)
We are really looking forward to hearing what he has to say, 24 hours before the highly anticipated 2024 NHL draft.
Obviously, we should not expect him to publicly reveal the Canadiens' plan, especially with the fifth overall pick, but he is likely to send a few messages, especially since these new Montreal executives are known for being much more transparent and outspoken.
Especially Jeff Gorton; he does not mince his words.
Beyond the questions about tomorrow night's fifth overall pick, expect Gorton to receive questions related to the trade market. (the Martin Necas, Trevor Zegras, and company)
It promises to be interesting, and it's a meeting in just a few minutes!
