We have two changes to announce for the Montreal Canadiens.

The first one is not too surprising-we mentioned it earlier today-but it has now been confirmed.

Jakub Dobes replaces Samuel Montembeault and will be in net for his team tonight against the Los Angeles Kings.

However, the second change was truly unexpected.

No one had mentioned this as a possibility, but Logan Mailloux has just been inserted into the lineup for tonight's game!

This is an interesting decision by head coach Martin St-Louis.

See the confirmation and images:

At 23 years old, standing 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 215 pounds, Dobes has a record of 5-1-1 this season, with a goals-against average of 2.10 and a save percentage of .927.

He will now attempt to take down the Kings.

Logan Mailloux, 21 years old, has accumulated 22 points in 36 games this season in the American Hockey League, along with three points in five NHL games.

This will be his first game with the Canadiens since October 29.

I'm eager to see what kind of performance he'll have, especially since his teammate Owen Beck set the bar high last night with a strong showing against the San Jose Sharks.

In the end, both players called up from the Laval Rocket will have suited up, at the expense of Michael Pezzetta and Jayden Struble.

More details to follow.
