Canadiens Set to Receive Major Reinforcements Tonight, While Laine Remains a Game-Time Decision
We have a last-minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens organization.
First, let's start with the good news!
There will be solid reinforcement on defense, as defenseman David Savard will be back in action tonight against the Dallas Stars after missing four games due to an upper body injury.

Return to play for David Savard: a mysterious update for Patrik Laine
As for Laine, it's indeed much less clear.
The Finnish forward is clearly not back to 100%, as he has been battling flu-like symptoms and missed the last four games.
It would be extraordinary to see him in uniform tonight, and it would be a strong addition:
David Savard will be back tonight.
The Canadiens have indicated that further updates may be available before warm-up, so still no news on Patrik Laine..
- Eric Engels, Sportsnet
If he's not ready, it's probably better to wait a little longer.
Some reporters are talking about a last-minute decision here or game time decision.
In short, this is a story to follow over the next few minutes and during the warm-up session around 6:30 PM.
Laine, 26 years old, has accumulated 10 points in 13 games this season, with a -5 rating.
Savard, 34 years old, has accumulated 10 points in 35 games this season, with a +1 rating.
Let's remember that Martin St-Louis' team is hosting the Dallas Stars tonight, live from the Bell Centre.
Samuel Montembeault will face Jake Oettinger.
