Jakub Dobes Makes a Surprising Request During a Press Conference in Front of Journalists
One of the hottest names on the Montreal Canadiens right now is definitely Jakub Dobes, and it has been for over two weeks already. The 6-foot-5 goaltender remains undefeated in three games and has been exceptional since being called up from the Laval Rocket.
We're obviously talking about a record of 3-0-0, but also a goals-against average of 0.97 and a save percentage of 0.959.
While some believe Dobes is one of the main reasons for the team's recent success, the man himself had a very clear request.
He wants the credit to go to his players and the team.
Once again, this highlights his remarkable attitude and great humility.

In a press conference following the victory against the Washington Capitals, young Dobes indeed had plenty of positive things to say about his teammates' recent performances.
He also mentioned that he's seen a lot of things being said about him, which is very special to him, but he really wants to stay grounded and focus on his on-ice performance.

He also mentioned that he was quite nervous toward the end of the game because he really wanted the team to at least pick up one point in the standings.
Of course, he was extremely happy to see that they ultimately came away with two big points.
