He is still very involved in the day-to-day of the team and in decision-making, which is obviously positive.
During the last game against the Calgary Flames, the defensive pairings were as follows (and were chosen by Martin St-Louis before his departure).
Michael Matheson - Kaiden Guhle
Jordan Harris - Jayden Struble
However, yesterday during the live practice in Edmonton and in anticipation of the game against the powerful Oilers, the pairings were changed:
Matheson - Guhle
Xhekaj - Savard
Struble and Harris in rotation - Kovacevic
Details here:
So it seems that a change will be made to the lineup (on defense) for tonight's game, and it looks like Johnatan Kovacevic will be reinserted into the lineup in place of Struble or Harris.
If we go by Trevor Letowski's recent statements, it could be believed that this is a decision that comes directly from Martin St-Louis, from his home!
This is obviously quite unusual, but it shows how much Martin is a true enthusiast and continues to follow the team very closely despite everything.
The rotation on defense continues.
