When the Habs learned that young David Reinbacher would miss the entire season, they put a plan in place.

The organization decided that the fifth overall pick in the 2023 draft would do his rehabilitation within the Habs environment rather than with the Laval Rocket.

The goal was not only to provide him with the best possible medical care but also to allow him to learn even while injured.

Since then, we've seen the young man many times in the press box during the club's home games.

David Reinbacher's integration in Montreal is going well

We even recently had a video showing him greeting the Laval Rocket players in the locker room after a victory.

In recent days, we had another example of the Swiss player's integration into North America. Not familiar with Canadian Halloween, he was invited to experience it by Paul Byron.

He was seen in Candiac and, of course, took numerous photos with neighborhood children.

It's a great initiative by the Byron family. Hopefully, other players or coaches will follow this example in the coming weeks, especially as Reinbacher has just lost one of his close friends.

Indeed, the defenseman used to spend a lot of time with another rookie, Oliver Kapanen.

With Kapanen's return to Sweden, Reinbacher will need to find a new companion in Montreal..

Hopefully, despite the severity of the injury and the length of his absence, the young man's development won't be too affected. It's reassuring to see everyone in the organization involved in Reinbacher's integration.

We all hope this will contribute to his on-ice progress when he can finally lace up his skates again.
