Via Sportsnet, journalist Elliotte Friedman has just confirmed a major rumor involving Lane Hutson, Kent Hughes, and the Canadiens.

According to his sources, Lane Hutson fully intends to sign and finish the season in Martin St-Louis' lineup.

Lane Hutson is expected to sign a contract with Kent Hughes and the Canadiens in the coming hours, according to Elliotte Friedman!

This is obviously great news.

"And for those who still doubted, Elliotte Friedman has stated that Hutson is ready to sign." - HFTV

During his 32 Thoughts podcast, Friedman mentioned:

"There are a few games left this season for Montreal, it will be done when it is officially announced, but everything absolutely indicates that he will join the Canadiens this season."

"Everyone wants to give him time to digest his loss for now, but he had pretty much already made up his mind before the game was played. So we wait, but everything definitely indicates that he will join the Canadiens." - Elliotte Friedman

Some journalists have worried fans and talked about the possibility that he might never come to the Canadiens, imitating a certain Adam Fox, but Friedman has just reassured everyone.

He is the best insider in the NHL, and for him to say this means it is really going in the right direction.

Hutson, 20 years old, 62nd overall pick in 2022 (second round), has accumulated 49 points in 38 games this season at Boston University, including 15 goals.

Last season, he amassed 48 points in 39 games at Boston University, including 15 goals.

It promises to be exciting and it would be really interesting to see him in action!
