Great Moment in the Habs' Locker Room as Jakub Dobes Delivers a Powerful Speech to His Teammates
Last night, after Martin St-Louis' squad's victory against the Colorado Avalanche, we witnessed a beautiful moment in the locker room involving Jakub Dobes.
Samuel Montembeault presented him with the famous game glasses, they shared a firm handshake, and goalie Dobes gave a short speech to his teammates.
Check out the video in question:
It's truly heartwarming to see.
He only played two games, but let's just say he showed a lot during those two appearances in Montreal and truly inspires confidence.
Let's remember that the Canadiens' number 75 goalie from Martin St-Louis' squad stopped 22 of the 23 shots he faced last night and made several incredible saves, particularly late in the game, in overtime, and during the shootout.
He genuinely helped secure those important 2 points for the Canadiens.
Dobes also seems to already have amazing chemistry with his teammates, as we saw during his interview with TVA Sports:
It's incredible to see how the simple recall of a young goalie has completely changed the "vibe" for Montreal.
Dobes, 23 years old, standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds, was a 5th-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2020.
In his two NHL games, he has a record of 2-0-0, a goals-against average of 0.48, a save percentage of 0.982, and one shutout.
Not bad for the start of a career.
He and Samuel Montembeault will form a solid duo.
