The Canadiens have just signed Juraj Slafkovsky long-term.

This is a major contract for the club's future, as General Manager Kent Hughes has pulled off another little magic trick.

Against all odds, he managed to sign Slafkovsky for less money than captain Nick Suzuki! Wow!

"The General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club, Kent Hughes, announced Monday that the team has agreed to the terms of an eight-season contract extension (2025-2026 to 2032-2033) worth $60.8 million with forward Juraj Slafkovsky.
