The Montreal Canadiens have just announced the signing of three players to professional tryout contracts, including one name that caught our attention.

Among the three tryout contracts and the 59 names on the complete list released by the Habs, one of them has a remarkable story.

Charles Savoie can say mission accomplished as he earned his invitation to the Canadiens' main camp

Savoie, who was one of the standout players during the Habs' 2024 rookie camp, particularly against the Toronto Maple Leafs prospects, made it!

He has officially been invited to the organization's main camp, and that's worth highlighting.

» Junior players Tyler Thorpe and Owen Protz, recent draft picks, will not participate in the main camp.

Invited forward Charles Savoie, who performed well at the rookie camp, is among the 59 players who will be at the main camp.
Savoie is aiming for a contract with the Laval Rocket

-Marc Antoine Godin

He has gone from being a simple invitee at rookie camp to someone who could realistically land a contract with the Laval Rocket.

We really wish him the best!

Charles Savoie, 21 years old and from Saint-Eustache, is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound forward.

He recorded 20 points in 27 games with the Rimouski Océanic last season, and 25 points in 33 games with the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL).

A name to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
