Kirby Dach's Future in Montreal Uncertain After Tense Meeting with Management
We have an update regarding Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach. According to reports from the guys at Stanley25, Maxime Truman and Jean Trudel, the number 77 forward was called in for a meeting by the Canadiens' management, and following that meeting, a trade is now more conceivable than ever for him.
Things are heating up in Montreal, no doubt.
This morning, we learned that Logan Mailloux could actually be traded.
And now, we're hearing a similar story-almost the same-about Dach.
A trade for Kirby Dach?
Check out what Maxime Truman reported:
«According to what Maxime Truman said during the latest episode of the Stanley25 podcast, there was an event in recent weeks that caused the center to not exactly gain favor in the eyes of management and the coaching staff.
As part of a mid-season meeting with players who were expected to step up, Dach was called in by team executives and coaches to discuss his season. He wasn't the only one (Juraj Slafkovsky was also in this situation, obviously).»
- Charles-Alexis Brisebois And after this meeting, the Canadiens' leadership reportedly did not like Kirby Dach's reaction, to the point where he could actually be traded.
Wow.
It's all discussed in the following episode:
This is really interesting.
«When you hold this kind of meeting, you watch the other person's reaction. And from what I've been told, Kirby Dach's reaction was not great.»
- Maxime Truman
As a result, Kirby Dach is no longer considered untouchable and is not even part of the team's core anymore.
This will be another developing story to follow in Montreal!
