Mailloux will be a 6th defenseman at best according to known scout
The young Logan Mailloux impressed many in his first career game in the National Hockey League, including Martin St-Louis.
I myself was pleasantly surprised by the young player's performance, and it really bodes well for the future.
I believe that Logan Mailloux can certainly become a dominant defenseman in the National Hockey League.
However, this is not the case for Simon Boisvert.
Boisvert does not always like Logan Mailloux's behavior on the ice and he sees him more as a 6th defenseman in the NHL
He believes that Mailloux will never be anything more than a simple depth defenseman. Ouch.
«During his appearance on the Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro, he mentioned that he sees Mailloux as a #6 defenseman at most, particularly because he sometimes looks like a sleepwalker on the ice.» - Via DansLesCoulisses
Let's remember that Mailloux has only played ONE game in the NHL, but still.
Simon « Snake » Boisvert still believes that Mailloux is only a 6th defenseman at best.
"I maintain Mailloux #6... he sometimes looks like an astronaut... I find that sometimes he seems to be daydreaming on the ice" - Via Tony Marinaro's podcast
Renaud Lavoie, a journalist from TVA Sports, really does not agree with this statement.
«When? At 38 years old? (that he'll be a 6th defenseman)» - Lavoie
And you, do you agree with Boisvert?
Mailloux, 21 years old, 6 feet 3 inches and 220 pounds, is a first-round pick of the Habs in 2021. He amassed 47 points, including 14 goals, in 70 games this season for the Laval Rocket.
