Let's recall that number 31 crossed Canada completely, to be in Montreal and at the Bell Centre for the last game of the Canadiens' season, against the Detroit Red Wings.
That was last April 16th.
However, even though Angela returned home immediately after the match, Carey was spotted near Montreal several times over the last two weeks, and everything indicated that he had stayed in Quebec.
His wife just confirmed it all.
Carey Price had indeed stayed in Montreal, and he had been in Quebec all this time, for more than two weeks. (he left yesterday and reunited with his family last night)
All this is fine, but why are we talking about it today?
Simply because it's interesting to note that Carey had to stay a long time in Montreal.
Did he take the opportunity to meet Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton? Is something happening behind the scenes? After a year off, is he ready to get more involved and take a role within the organization?
It remains to be seen, but it's obviously great news to see that Price wanted to stay here for a good while.
We know he spent quite a bit of time with Paul Byron, who has just accepted a new role within the Montreal Canadiens organization. Interesting, indeed.
More details will follow, anyway.
Check out the photos and videos posted by Angela Price, including a special one with her friends at a music festival.
A particularly special moment for Carey Price's wife, during his absence.
What a beautiful family!
