Major reinforcement about to land with the Canadiens: we just learned that David Reinbacher is going to arrive quite soon

Fans had high expectations when the Montreal Canadiens' management sent their young prospect David Reinbacher with his Swiss team during training camp. They thought the defenseman would dominate one last time in Europe before finishing the season in North America with either the Rocket or the Canadiens.

However, things did not go as planned, as the young Austrian had a rather difficult season with HC Kloten. In addition to suffering an injury and playing for a bottom-ranking team, no fewer than three head coaches led his team. As for stability, that's another story...

The plan now seems to be to get him out of Kloten as soon as possible to play in North America. This could happen as soon as March 4 or 5, as demonstrated by Marc-Olivier Beaudoin.

If the playoffs are out of the question for HC Kloten, everything will depend on whether his team has to play a relegation series or not, that is, a best-of-seven series at the end of which the loser will be relegated to the second division. This series would take place from March 16 to 30 and would greatly delay the defenseman's arrival in North America.

It would be best for Kloten to finish in the 11th or 12th spot to avoid the relegation series. As of February 5, they are ranked 13th in the league's standings and would therefore have to play the famous series.

In 28 games with HC Kloten, Reinbacher has accumulated 1 goal and 10 assists for a total of 11 points. While he struggled at the start of the season, he has recently taken control and is experiencing good moments.

Once the arrival date is determined, it will be interesting to see if the Canadiens' management decides to send him to Laval or give him a shot with the main club?

Even Bob Hartley thinks the Habs should bring Reinbacher to North America as soon as possible!
