Martin St-Louis reveals what exactly happened to his son Mason for him to leave the team
In an emotional official statement published on the Montreal Canadiens' website, Martin St-Louis personally revealed the reason for his absence due to his son.
See the exact passage, to quote him accurately.
"All within the Canadiens organization have been greatly supportive of my wife, Heather, and me as we fully focused on our son Mason and his recovery following the injury he sustained in hockey. As parents, nothing is more important to us than our three sons, Ryan, Lucas, and Mason."
Mason St-Louis, aged 16, is the youngest of the three sons of Martin and Heather. He was injured while playing a game for the U15 Mid-Fairfield (Connecticut). A week later, Mason experienced multiple complications related to his injury, necessitating his hospitalization. His condition has since stabilized, and he is now recuperating at the family home.
"We are very grateful to the Canadiens organization, our fans, and the hockey community for their understanding and support throughout Mason's injury and recovery. I would like to sincerely thank all the medical staff, doctors, and nurses who took care of Mason during his hospital stay. I would also like to thank everyone who respected my family and our privacy. I now ask you to turn your attention to the team for the rest of the season."
These are indeed great news! The players and coaches will surely be extremely happy to have Martin back (as are we), but most importantly, we are all extremely pleased to read these good news.
It has been an anxious week for many, but everything seems to be slowly returning to order, which is what we truly wished for from the bottom of our hearts since last Saturday.

It's worth mentioning that the CH achieved its first victory "without Martin St-Louis" last night against the Seattle Kraken, a convincing win credited to Cayden Primeau, Juraj Slafkovsky, Kaiden Guhle, Alex Newhook, Nick Suzuki, Trevor Letowski, and the entire team.
A promising end of the season is anticipated for the Habs!
