Member of the Canadiens organization could be fired very soon
The assistant to the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, John Sedgwick, has just made an intriguing statement about Jean-François Houle.
Could the Laval Rocket have a new head coach as early as next season? It seems to be a possibility for the leaders of the CH organization.
With four games left in the season, the Laval Rocket is at risk of missing the AHL playoffs, and unfortunately, this could have serious consequences for their head coach, whose contract ends in a few weeks.
As mentioned by Anthony Marcotte on TVA Sports, Houle is not the man for the current CH management.
The one who succeeded Joël Bouchard at the helm of the Rocket in 2021 was hired just before the firing of Marc Bergevin, and obviously before the arrivals of Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton.
The general manager of the Rocket, John Sedgwick, had this to add.
I asked John Sedgwick, the new general manager of the Rocket, what the future holds for Jean-François Houle. He refused to say more, except to mention that it would be reevaluated at the end of the season."
So, don't be surprised if the Rocket have a new head coach as early as next season.
