Mike Matheson, 30 years old, has a solid 15 points in 23 games this season with the Canadiens, following a 62-point campaign in 82 games last season, including 11 goals.
He earns $4.875 million per year through 2026, making his salary a significant asset for a team in the NHL.

Returning to Hutson, it will be interesting to see if Patty Laine's return helps propel him into a Calder Trophy run to challenge Matvei Michkov. Being on the first PP unit will definitely boost his chances.
