Montreal Canadiens cancel intra-squad game today and training camp will continue
The Montreal Canadiens organization has just announced a change of plan today.
The Montreal Canadiens training camp will indeed continue this Sunday, but the game scheduled for the morning has been canceled.
There have still been no cuts, so 59 players are still present at the Canadiens' camp, including three on professional tryouts.
Stu Cowan announced a change: a simple practice will take place at 9:45 AM instead [and the intra-squad game is canceled].
This will be the final on-ice session before the start of the preseason games.
The season is approaching! The real games are coming!
Today's Montreal Canadiens game has been canceled
Additionally, the first preseason game will take place Monday against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Bell Centre at 7 PM.
The game will be broadcast on RDS, so fans may have the chance to see a certain Matvei Michkov in action.
A Michkov/David Reinbacher matchup could be interesting to watch, especially since the Philadelphia Flyers prospect has had a great start to camp, according to observers closely following their activities.
As for Martin St-Louis' squad, it will be a first opportunity for the young players to send a message to management, as the competition is particularly fierce this year, both in offense and defense.
