The Montreal Canadiens have generally been spared from injuries this season, at least compared to previous years. However, that doesn't mean the Canadiens organization is free from injuries overall, far from it.

The Laval Rocket, which includes several Canadiens prospects and multiple call-up options for Kent Hughes, has been hit hard by injuries.

We've seen it with Joshua Roy, we've seen it with Brandon Gignac, and now we're seeing it with Luke Tuch.

Several players who could have had their chance with the Canadiens have suffered serious injuries at the worst possible times.

Long-term injury for Canadiens prospect Luke Tuch

That is what has just been announced.

«The Laval Rocket added three names to its injured list on Wednesday, including forward Luke Tuch.

The 22-year-old American is suffering from a lower-body injury and will miss eight weeks of action.»

Clearly, the management will have to make moves to provide support to Pascal Vincent's squad, which is having an incredible season.

Luke Tuch, 22 years old, 6 feet 2 inches, and 215 pounds, was a second-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2020 (47th overall).

He has accumulated 11 points in 35 games this season with the Laval Rocket, along with 40 penalty minutes and a positive plus-minus of +5.

His contribution, both physically and defensively, is valuable to the Habs' AHL affiliate.

In the NCAA, Tuch recorded 30 points in 39 games during his final college season.
