Of course, we will wait for the official confirmation from the organization and the last-minute announcement, but don't be surprised if Laine is in uniform tomorrow night, live from the Bell Centre, against Patrick Roy and the New York Islanders.
It's promising! We can't wait to see which line he'll be placed on, but I have a feeling it will be alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
Laine, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 208-pound forward.
The second overall pick by the Winnipeg Jets in 2016 has accumulated 388 points (204 goals) in 480 career games in the NHL.
This is a story to follow closely, but all signs point to tomorrow as the long-awaited debut of Laine with the Montreal Canadiens. He was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets a few weeks before the start of the 2024-2025 season.
