With the recent demotions of young players Owen Beck and Jayden Struble to the Laval Rocket, Martin St-Louis' options in Montreal are becoming limited.

However, reinforcements are expected to arrive for the Canadiens in the coming games.

Forward Emil Heineman, who was injured in Salt Lake City in a car accident before the game against Utah HC, is progressing very well in his recovery process and is likely to return to action within about ten days.

He obviously doesn't carry the importance of a Nick Suzuki or a Patrik Laine, but his return will certainly have a positive impact on the Canadiens.

According to information from TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie, Heineman is indeed expected to be back in uniform within about ten days.

Looking at the Canadiens' schedule, it appears Heineman will return in about three or four games, which is great news.

This explains the demotions of Beck and Struble to Laval.

Michael Pezzetta will likely take Heineman's place for the next 3-4 games.

He doesn't play much, but at least he allows other players to rest a bit more during games (compared to playing with 11 forwards).

Heineman, 23 years old, has 17 points in 41 games this season (10 goals) despite averaging less than 11 minutes of ice time per game.

This is a situation to watch closely.

As for Pezzetta, he has played 4 minutes 6 seconds, 2 minutes 58 seconds, and 4 minutes 31 seconds in his last three games.
