Return to Arizona: Christian Dvorak causes a surprise and it's over
The Montreal Canadiens forward, Christian Dvorak, has just made an interesting statement about the Arizona Coyotes.
In the context of a very interesting article by Dave Lévesque, published on the TVA Sports website, Dvorak breaks the silence about the move as well as the potential return to Arizona for the Coyotes.
Return to Arizona for the Coyotes: Christian Dvorak seems to believe it, but with one condition!
Let's say the real things, it's over!
It's over for this edition of the Arizona Coyotes.
According to current information, the Coyotes would move to Salt Lake City, but they could return to Arizona in a few years, via expansion.
The idea seems completely ridiculous, but Dvorak has brought up new points.
The one who played five years for the Arizona Coyotes and who is well placed to talk about it, declared this.
"It's a bit disappointing. When I was there, I liked playing there and the other players did too. But it was a situation that had become untenable and things had to change. I hope they will get a team back soon."
"There were rumors of relocation or a new arena every year so we didn't pay too much attention to it. We didn't know what was true or false." - Christian Dvorak
The Canadiens forward even seems to have some solutions.
"They have good fans. When I was there, we played in Glendale, which is a bit far for a lot of people, making it difficult to attract fans every night."
"If the team is closer to Tempe, Scottsdale, or Phoenix, but obviously not in a university arena, I believe there would be more fans." - Christian Dvorak
This will be an interesting case to follow, but it's certainly relevant to have comments from a player who experienced it from the inside for several years.
Dvorak, 28 years old, has accumulated nine points, including five goals, in 27 games this season. Over his career (with the Canadiens and with the Coyotes), he has 216 points in 449 games in the National Hockey League.
The center player is signed until 2025, at $4.45 million per year.
