During a press conference in Ottawa in the last few seconds, Martin St-Louis confirmed what we feared, in addition to talking about Lane Hutson.

First, he announced that there will be only one change to his lineup.

"Tanner Pearson replaces Jesse Ylonen tonight, Cayden Primeau in goal, no other changes for the Canadiens."

This therefore confirms that Kaiden Guhle will unfortunately be absent again, and it is obviously bad news.

A bad development for Martin St-Louis and the Habs

At this stage, especially with the arrival of Lane Hutson, one might wonder if the CH will opt for caution and not play Guhle again this season.

We are talking here about an extremely important element for the Habs.

Kaiden Guhle, 22 years old, 16th overall pick in 2020 (1st round), has amassed 22 points in 70 games this season, while maintaining a differential of -8 consistently playing against the opposing team's best players.

As for Pearson, 31 years old, he has accumulated 13 points in 53 games this season.

During his talk in front of the journalists, Martin St-Louis also indeed commented, for the very first time, on the signing of the young Lane Hutson.

He seems to love his intelligence, but he is eager to see what it will yield in the NHL.
