Montreal Canadiens forward, Patrik Laine, has unfortunately faced his share of negative press in recent weeks. To also highlight how much he is appreciated as a teammate in the locker rooms he's been in, not just with the Habs, here's a hilarious little anecdote.

His teammate on Team Finland, forward Mikko Rantanen, took a friendly jab at him that gave us a good laugh.

No, you're not the only one who has noticed Laine's unique fashion style.

Patrik Laine has a bizarre fashion style, according to Mikko Rantanen

A fun little moment and a well-placed dig:

Mikko Rantanen on Tuesday on which Finnish player has matured most from the 2016 World Junior gold-winning team and who still thinks they're 18:

"I don't know. It's a good question. I think everybody's mature. Laine wears weird clothes sometimes, though."

We love it.

It's always great to see this more relaxed side of the players, and who knows, maybe reconnecting with his friends "from home" will give Patrik Laine a nice boost of motivation?

As the saying goes, we tease the ones we love.

Yes, Patrik Laine is still well-liked in Montreal, and yes, we still believe in him 100%:

Let's not forget that the Canadiens' 6-foot-4 forward was on Finland's third line today, alongside young Anton Lundell.

He was separated from his close friend Sebastian Aho. Laine isn't the only Finnish Canadiens player to receive bad news earlier today as Joel Armia was scratched from today's game.

Finland secured a 4-3 overtime victory against their rival Sweden, with Patrik Laine earning the second star of the game after recording two assists.
